Storm scores 5 in final 45 Beats PanAmerican FC 6-2

Glendale, California- Saturday night Santa Clarita meet with PanAmerican FC at the Glendale Sports Complex in a UPSL League Match. 
The Storm began the match differently than the past few, aggressively dominating from the whistle with a second-half explosion that leads to the 6-2 win over the visitors. 


Just 3 minutes in the Storm had its first look at the game when a pass from Storm Jesus Pascador that caught the head of Captain Brett Croft who headed the ball but collected by the PanAmerican FC Keeper. 
It was in the 25th minute Storm starting the scoring with a pass again from midfielder Jesus Pascador received by Storm striker Jose Torred on the attack and shot the caused the PanAmerican FC Defender to create an own goal and give the Storm the lead. 


PanAmerican playing aggressive as well took on the attack and  Miguel Mendoza got behind the Storm defense on the right side as keeper Cunningham came out to cut the angle and Mendoza with a shot passed Cunningham to the far post and knotted it up with one apiece. 


Just 8 minutes later Mendoza returns to the attack and to a shot from the center of the field that found its way past the Storm defender and Cunningham to close the first 45min with the visitors on top by one. 
Storm's head coach made a few adjustments at the break moving midfielders Nelson Peraza and Oscar Sanchez on top and Captain Brett Croft to defensive midfield. 
That adjustment paid off just one minute into the second half as Sanchez with the ball worked his way through the defensive breaking away and with easy beat the keeper to tie up the score in just the 46th minute. 


2 min later again on the attack and a foul was called on PanAmerician awarding the Storm with a penalty kick and Midfielder Gabriel Batista took the kick and the lead 3-2. 
Both battled for the next 24 minutes until the  72nd when Oscar Sanchez was on the attack to the far left side and made a pass on the goal line to the charging Jose Torres who caught the volley and put the Storm up by 2.
Gabriel Batista in midfield made a beautiful shot 20 yards out from the right side that travel to the far upper corner and bent nicely into the net given Batista his second on the evening.


Jesus Pascador capped off the scoring with one of his own just a minute later coming up the outside from the left and turned in moving towards the goal took his shot that blasted past the keeper and gave the Storm is 5th unanswered goal on the half and a 6-2 victory, Cunningham with the win stop 8 of the 10 shots that PanAmercian FC managed to get. 


Santa Clarita will now take to the road to LA Harbor College Stadium to take on Undefeated  Wolves in a 6 pm match next Sunday, November 4th.
