Zach played soccer from the age of 5 until he was 27. He learned early on that his niche on the field would be goalkeeper. Zach played at every level possible. From A.Y.S.O to moving on to play at the club level for 5 years. 

In 2001 Zach joined the Lancaster High School team as a Junior and in his Senior year he took over the Varsity goalkeeping starting position. After high school Zach spent his first two years of college playing for Moorpark College in Moorpark, CA. Zach didn't get much playing time his freshman year and ended up tied for 37th in the state of CA in goals against average. In his sophomore year Zach started all but two games, finished 5th in the state with a G.A.A of .075 and maintaied 500 shutout minutes in a totoal 1,300 minutes played. Zach also received the honor of First Team All Conference (Western States Athletic Conferenece), Second Team All Region and was nominated All American. After graduating from Moorpark, Zach received a full soccer scholarship to Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, GA. In his junior year Zach was first in the Southern States Athletic Conference and 2nd in the N.A.I.A in saves per game, with just shy of 10. In his senior year Zach received Honorable Mention from the S.S.A.C and graduted with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sports & Fitness. In 2007 Zach joined the Lancaster Rattlers who competed in the Premier Development League (P.D.L) of the United Soccer Leagues (U.S.L); where Zach ended his inagural season tied in the P.D.L for second (2nd) in saves with 102, 7th overall in minutes played playing all 16 games sharing first in games played. Zach returned to the Rattlers in 2008 becoming a staple in the organizations growth and development. In 2009 Zach played every game for his team that season, playing a total of 1,440 minutes & leading in several stat categories; Zach was ranked by the U.S.L as number one in minutes played among goalkeepers, lead in games played (all 16), & lead the league in total saves with 114, an average of 7 per game & 30 saves in front of the 2nd place Goalkeeper. He also received 'Honorable Mention' from the U.S.L for receiving the most votes of any other player on the team. Started & played 45 minutes with 1 goal against in the Rattlers 3-1 victory over Puebla F..C. of Mexico's 1st Division (front line team.) on October 6, 2009. in 2010 the Lancaster Rattlers moved to the National Premier Soccer League (N.P.S.L) and branded to the Rattlers F.C. Midway through the season Zach was holding on to the number one spot again until he suffered a fractured rib in a match against the Fresno Fuego at home that sidelined him for the rest of the season. However in 2011 Zach returned to the team and earned himself a spot on the second and last All Star Team for the N.P.S.L. This would be Zach's last season competing as he now proudly supports the team helping in many aspects of the Organization. 

 Zach has a BA, AA and a Masters in Sports Management.
